Our Legacy

Our family has been associated with the gold jewellery business since 1940. In 1960, our grandfather, Late Shri Duraram Ji Tosawar, started jewellery manufacturing in Kolkata. Later, our father, Shri Bhagwati Prasad Ji Tosawar, expanded the business into wholesale along with manufacturing, supplying jewellery to retailers across India. Today, Lakhdatar Jewellers proudly continues this family legacy.

Purity & Value

All our gold jewellery is HUID BIS Hallmarked. We also accept old gold jewellery for exchange, offering 100% gold value according to its purity. Jewellery purchased from Lakhdatar Jewellers can also be exchanged for new jewellery or sold back to us, subject to applicable terms. The value at the time of exchange or sale-back is calculated according to the prevailing Hallmark Gold Buying/Selling Rate.

2. Making Charges

Making charges are not fixed, making charges depend on weight and design, for idea I can tell you that here making charges starts from 5%

3. Old Gold Exchange

Here you can exchange your old gold jewellery, whether hallmarked or not. If it’s not hallmarked, we’ll melt it down in front of you and have it lab-tested. The purity value shown in the laboratory test report will be given at the current rate.

4. Return Policy

All our jewellery is BIS hallmarked which you can check at the time of purchase and you can exchange or return it anytime, the price will be calculated at the current rate.

7. Does Lakhdatar Jewellers sell authentic gold jewellery?

Yes, we sell genuine gold jewellery which is BIS 916 / 750 Hallmarked, which you can see at the time of purchase and we also provide a certificate for the same.

8. Does Lakhdatar Jewellers sell customized jewellery?

Due to demand of some customers, we make customized jewellery as per customer’s choice, for which customer has to give the design of his choice, which takes at least 15-20 days to make.

9. What time does the showroom open?

Yes, we can make predictions based on your horoscope and even tell you which gemstones you should wear based on the planetary positions. You can ask us any questions related to your horoscope.
For this you will have to book an appointment in advance.

These days, the price of gold and silver fluctuates every 10 minutes, making it impossible to provide accurate gold rates on social media. Prices also vary slightly by state and city. You can get an idea by looking on Google, but the final price will be the same as the price at the time of purchase. However, gold and silver are not sold at the online price shown in any store.
